Known Issues đ´
Weâre continuously working to make Gumb better.
Here you'll find an up-to-date overview of known issues, their causes, and - where possible - a quick fix or temporary workaround.
đą Android & iOS
â Issue: Joining a Community via Link Not Working
- Status: In progress đ ď¸
- Affected platforms: Android & iOS
- Error message:
invalid input syntax for type uuid: ""

Description:
When tapping a community link on a mobile device (Android or iOS), the above error appears.
Joining via the web version of Gumb (gumb.app) works correctly.
The issue is caused by the mobile app not sending a valid community ID (UUID) to the server when opening the join link.
As a result, Gumb canât identify which community the user is trying to join.
đ§ Recommended Workaround
Join via Web (recommended):
- Open gumb.app in your browser (not the mobile app) and log in.
- Click the community link again - joining should work as expected.
Or: Admin adds the member manually:
- Open the Members section â Add user in the web version.
- The new member can quickly create an account (see Create your account đđť) and send their registered email address.
- Enter this email under Add user - the person will appear instantly in your members list and gain access to all events.
- Alternatively, the admin can pre-register the member:
â Enter email, first and last name â save.
â The member will automatically receive an invitation with login details (email + password).
đĄ Note: For smaller communities (under 100 members), the âpre-register via emailâ option is usually the fastest and most reliable.
Fix planned: Included in the next app update (expected mid-November).
đ Web Version
â No known bugs at this time.
